Broadlawn Farm is delighted to be part of the Rust Belt Linen Project, a collaborative of farmers and growers experimenting with, growing and processing flax with the goal of revitalizing the local linen trade.
We tend to a vibrant 200-square-foot plot of flax with the help of community volunteers, friends, and family throughout the growing season which culminates with our annual Flax Picking Party in August. For more details about our flax and the Rust Belt Fiber Shed, click here.
We have six buzzing hives at Broadlawn Farm. Situated in our 4-acre meadow, the bees thrive on the farm’s varied landscape of grasses, forest, and gardens and close proximity to the Chagrin River and its tributaries in our backyard.
We are pleased to donate 20% of the proceeds from each bottle of Broadlawn honey sold to the Renee Jones Empowerment Center. RJEC is a non-profit organization in Northeast Ohio offering holistic services such as life coaching and aftercare assistance to individuals with the fortitude to end the cycle of human trafficking.
